Released on International Melon Day August 10, Melon is brought to you by 1 More Thing, the platform founded by ex-UKF editor Dave Columbo Jenkins. After a few negative experiences submitting demos during his development, Sonnet was inspired by the tone, output and actions of Dave and his team and started to submitting demos to the platform’s monthly Demo Drop streams.
The reaction to each track was so hype and excited that the tracks were quickly signed up. A quick a share with top ranking DJ A.M.C - who replied with ‘WOW! Tunes are fucking incredible!’ within 10 minutes – and the EP has been in circulation with ever since.
Likely to soundtrack many favourite moments at festivals this summer, Melon is every bit as juicy as its title hints. And there’s more juice to follow as another EP is already signed.
Very few artists make such a strong impression at such an early stage. Sonnet is a name we guarantee you’ll be hearing a lot more of in the future.
