DJ Trimer, DJ RdoubleM, MC J3SMAN and MC Mr.
W_A_V, as they are also officially known, play upfront Drum and Bass incorporating the newest releases, promos and timeless classics thrown into the mix. W_A_V sets span all genres of Drum and Bass, their energetic and frenetic mixing literally sets them apart from the rest of the crowd, they have played events all over the country from Birmingham to Brighton, from Bromley to Basingstoke. Notably and most recently demolishing the capital’s ‘Club of the moment’ for underground and commercial movements, Cable London.
Each member brings a whole heap of style, diversity and unpresidented amounts of talent in their field. Here’s a little bit about the individuals that make up W_A_V from the guys themselves;
DJ TRIMER I’m a DJ/producer, I’ve been Deejaying for around 8 years now. My selection is wide reaching as in I like to play everything from jump up to dark Amen beats. I’m not one for playing a set genre of dnb, I just play what I like and people like what I play!! haha. I Take lot of inspiration from DJ’s like Mampi Swift and Andy C.
DJ RdoubleM I started mixing in 2001 when my friends got some belt drive decks. In 2004 I bought my own 1210's and things took off from there. I really got to grips with the scene after gaining residencies on radio stations such as Urbanmusic.net, UK Rumble and Nakedbeatz, since then I’ve never looked back!
MC J3SMAN I jumped into the game as an MC after over 7 years of taking it all in and following some of the great pioneers of the scene, including the above! haha. I’ve been emceeing a little over 2 years now. I really wanted to make my mark and get involved. Through my lyrics I like to tell stories and overall, impress! Inspired by MC’s such as; Eksman, Fun and Shaydee.
MC MR. I got into the music over 10 years ago when I got my first set of decks, but my love for DnB stemmed from an Innovation in July ’02. Being big into my Hip-Hop I was always interested in the MC side of DnB. I used to spit at house parties for fun before meeting the others and taking things more seriously. I take inspiration from a lot of great MC’s but I try to set a new trend.
